06/15/20
The BRANSON 2020 REUNION HAS BEEN CANCELLED. For reasons outlined HERE we have decided to cancel the 2020 reunion and have tentatively rescheduled for the same time next year. Updates will be posted here as new information and plans become available.
05/14/20
The latest news from Branson is good news. Our hotel &
reunion headquarters, Lodge of the Ozarks, has set an official re-opening date
of June 4th. Other businesses in Branson have re-opening dates now scheduled,
all more than 2 months before our reunion of August 27-29. We will continue to
monitor the COVID-19 developments and how they may impact our reunion but as of
now, our reunion is a go! A very important point to make and I can't stress how
important it is:
EVEN THOUGH THE REUNION IS PROCEEDING AS PLANNED, IF FOR ANY REASON YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE ATTENDING OR ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, YOU MY CANCEL BEFORE JULY 17TH AND RECEIVE A FULL REFUND OF YOUR REUNION REGISTRATION FEE AND YOUR BRANSON BELLE DINNER CRUISE ADMISSION.
If you decide not to
attend, you may cancel and receive a full refund of your Reunion Registration
fee provided you cancel prior to Friday, July 17th.

Your reunion organizers continue to monitor COVID-19 developments as they relate to the Branson 2020 Horne Reunion scheduled for August. As you know, the situation is rapidly changing across the globe, the country and our own communities. Some areas of our country have been completely shut down, devastated by the killer disease caused by the virus, while for others, life remains nearly normal.
Currently in Branson, many entertainment venues are closed with re-openings tentatively scheduled for late April. Our hotel, Lodge of the Ozarks, is currently closed also with a tentative re-opening scheduled for late April or early May. These dates are very much subject to change as new guide-lines are released by the CDC and various government agencies adapt their plans and recommendations based on the status of the virus.
As far as our plans for the August reunion are concerned, everything is still scheduled to take place as planned. As mentioned in the 03/13/20 update (below), we still have the luxury of time on our side. Our reunion is still nearly 5 months away. There is no reason for us to change our plans at this time. We will continue to take a wait & see approach and plan accordingly.
With that being said, we also understand your plans to attend may already have been impacted, depending on where you live. Therefore it's important to make sure all of our registered attendees know that should their plans change and they no longer want to or are unable to attend the reunion, they can just let me know by JULY 17, 2020 and I will provide a full refund. We certainly hope it doesn't come to that but want to make sure everybody knows our finances are in good shape and if the need arises we can provide refunds to everybody, and still be left with a little cushion in the bank.
Please take care of yourself and your loved ones. Heed the warnings issued by your local government agencies and the CDC as well as the White House.
Still looking forward to seeing you in Branson!

We are all aware of the
hour-by-hour developments regarding the COVID-19 corona virus. You may be
wondering what effect, if any, it will have on the Branson 2020 Horne reunion
scheduled for August 27, 28 & 29. The short answer is: None… So Far.
WHAT’S NEXT?
We are in the very early stages
of this pandemic and it’s impossible to predict what will happen in the weeks
and months to come. The health and safety of our shipmates and their guests is
our top priority! We will continue to proceed with that in mind. The good news
is our
It's my thinking that within
the next several weeks to a month or so it will become obvious one way or
another whether or not the Corona Virus will impact our reunion plans. I figure
things will either calm down with the situation gradually improving and we'll
proceed as normal with the reunion in August. Or… the virus will continue to
spread and reach a point where domestic travel restrictions are imposed and our
hand will be forced. So once again, the good news is, we have several months to
“wait and see.”
BRANSON STATUS?
Our lodging contact at Lodge of
the Ozarks says everything is normal in Branson as of today. Nothing is shut
down. It’s business as usual. The only effect our reunion contact is seeing is
some cancellations by visitors. In some cases, people are rescheduling for later
in the summer (when we’re having our reunion!)
CANCELLATION POLICY
Regardless of the situation in
Branson, what's more important is your situation. If the reunion proceeds as
scheduled, you may be wondering what happens if you, for whatever reason, decide
to cancel.
If you decide not to
attend, you may cancel and receive a full refund of your Reunion Registration
fee provided you cancel prior to Friday, July 17th.
BRANSON BELLE
DINNER & SHOW CRUISE
If you decide not to
attend the dinner and show cruise, you will receive a full refund of the price
of your cruise provided you cancel prior to Friday, July 17th.
HOTEL
RESERVATIONS
Reservations at the Lodge
of the Ozarks may be cancelled no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled
check-in. This means you may cancel and you will NOT be charged anything as long
as you do it at least 24 hours before your check-in date and time.
The deposits paid out of the
Horne Reunion account are also refundable provided we cancel with enough
advanced warning. Again, time is on our side. We have several months to see
what, if anything develops.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Everything is scheduled to
proceed as planned. The Branson 2020 Horne Reunion is shaping up to be one of
the best attended Horne reunions ever and nearly half of those who have already
registered have never been to a Horne Reunion before!
We will continue to monitor
developments, update you and make plans accordingly. If for any reason you
decide not to attend, just let me know and you will receive a full refund.
Looking forward to seeing you in Branson in August!
