Photo/Media Submission Guidelines
I welcome any and all photos, newspaper clippings, manuals, booklets, etc relating to USS Horne. I can also post audio and video in the Multimedia section if it's already formatted for the Web. However, thanks to the generous contributions already made by many of the Officers and Crew who served in Horne, I already have quite an extensive collection. Please review all the items already posted in the Photo section to see if I may already have posted what you want to submit.
Please try to indicate the YEAR the photo was taken and if possible the MONTH and DAY. It's also helpful to indicate WHERE the photo was taken (PI, Perth, Tonga, etc). If taken onboard, try to indicate WHERE onboard (after steering, DC Central, etc). If you have photos of Horne crewmembers, please try to IDENTIFY THEM. This will make the photos more enjoyable and informative for everyone who sees them.
Due to a limited amount of server space, I'm unable to post everything submitted but if it's a great photo, I'll do my best.
If you have any historical Horne related Video or Audio, please let me know. I may be able to post it in the Horne Multimedia section. If it's already in a Web format (Real Audio, MPEG, QuickTime etc) you may email them to me.
If you don't have the ability to scan photos into your computer or prepare audio or video, you can snail mail them to:
All items submitted will will be returned if requested. Thanks for sharing and for making our Horne photo collection the best on the Web.
